In email, and other places, you get people sending a long multi-point text. You get many threads within each conversation.
Yet, there is no software that helps you to keep track of those threads.
The hack that most people currently use in email is “replying in line” and changing the color of their text. This works ok. But, if you go back and forth more than 2x its hard to read. You also can’t keep breaking the threads into smaller pieces.
There were some examples of attempts to solve this problem in the past (Google Wave) but nothing stuck.
It would be nice if you could take an email that someone sends you and split it into 3 parts. Then you could respond to each and they could in turn split one of your responses down further.
This would be awesome and help people to structure their writing better.
