I’ve spent over an hour on google just trying to figure out what elections are happening this year in New York that I can vote in.
Now that I know the elections happening, I still have no clear idea of how each works.
This year in New York, the following people are being elected:
New York City
Mayor
Public Advocate
Comptroller
Borough President
Manhattan District Attorney
Local Judges
City Council Members
New York State
A ballot measure to decide whether to hold a constitutional convention for New York State.
The election is November 7, 2017 and the Mayoral primary is September 12.
I still have no idea how the Local Judge election works, it seems complex.
The best source so far have been:
1. https://ballotpedia.org/
2. http://www.ourcampaigns.com/RaceDetail.html?RaceID=808450
3. http://www.gothamgazette.com/…/6676-candidates-for-2017-cit…
These sources have been incomplete to say the least.
Are there any better sources of information on elections?
