This may seem rather obvious but is hard to follow.
Its much easier to take the first decent job that comes along than it is to wait until you have 3 offers that you can leverage against each other.
Its much easier to accept the shitty wine that you ordered than it is to continuously send it back until you get something that you like.
Its much easier to be aggressive in poker and lose everything than it is to wait an hour for the right hand before being aggressive.
Its much easier to date the first person that comes along and seems agreeable than it is to wait years for the right match.
Added to this is the anxiety of knowing that you can’t wait forever.
Getting the balance right is worth it.
