Most people just think of it either as:
1. Always being able to reduce something to a $ figure.
2. Intangible forces or aspects.
But, the answer is somewhere in the middle.
It is true that everything can be reduced to value. But it can’t always be reduced to $. Especially when you’re talking about very long term values.
Also, most of what we get value from is never transacted in $s.
Its the relationships, discussions and feelings that we all value much more than a $ and that can generate enormous amounts of $s if used well.
