In 2016 its easy to make this mistake. There are so many stimuli competing for your attention: phone app notifications, text messages, emails, facebook messages, phone calls, etc…
Each of these provides a dopamine surge. Dealing with them makes you feel good.
But, you’re not furthering your goals in this way.
You should be picking the right actions each day.
To do this, shut off the notifications. Only check them when it furthers your goals. Don’t let apps send notification. Put your phone into do not disturb mode.
Spend some time reflecting and do the right things.
