The key aspect to self-improvement is reflection and honest feedback.

The story that I like goes like this:

If one of your friends tells you you’re an asshole you can ignore them.

But, if 5 of your friends tell you you’re an asshole, your response can’t be “No I’m not!” It should be “What am I doing wrong?”

This applies to everything.

You must find people that are willing to tell you when you’re wrong.

Ask them often. Get them to criticize you when its warranted. Get rid of the people that don’t criticize you.

It’ll be uncomfortable. But, the learning from it will be worth it.
