Don’t say “I’m too busy.”

Its not true.

The truth is: “What you’re asking me to do isn’t important enough to my goals to displace other things that I already have planned.”

Its harder to say but more truthful. The candor will lead to better relationships with those around you.

Also, saying this will teach you to think about your time in this way.

Initially, it may not be true that whatever you are “busy” doing you actually care more about than other things. If that is the case, then you should consider eliminating those things from your life.

This can be tough if “busy” pays the bills, but, there are other ways to bills. There are other jobs that you could apply for.

Saying “I’m too busy” is lying to others and more importantly its lying to yourself.
