If you make a mistake today, the setup happened days, months maybe even years ago.

Similarly, if you do something exceptionally well today, its because of actions that you took in the past. Sometimes in the very distant past.
 
Don’t beat your self up over mistakes.
 
Identify the habits that you would need to change to make it so that you never make that mistake again.
 
They, slowly, build those habits.
 
In 6 months you won’t be making the same mistakes.
 
6 months sounds like a lot you say?
 
Otherwise, you’ll be looking for the quick fixes for 5 years. There aren’t any quick fixes and in those 5 years you could have done 10 things that take 6 months.
 
Start small.
